The Story Behind Solace

Palm Springs has been the playground of some of Hollywood’s most beloved icons, and its name invokes a certain expectation for culture, art, and incredible architecture. It‘s where legendary architects developed the mid-century modern style, which includes features like clean lines, unique angles, expansive use of glass, and seamless indoor-outdoor living. This new Desert Modernism made Palm Springs synonymous with mid-century modern architecture. So, when Woodbridge Pacific Group began the initial planning stages for Solace, there was an understanding that the homes would need to embody the essence of modern mid-century architecture.

We put a tremendous amount of care into creating homes that pay homage to the mid-century modern traditions of Palm Springs, while maintaining the elements of modern home design that our customers crave. The exterior of each home demonstrates the fusion of geometry and nature with sweeping horizontal lines and rising angles that speak to the vast openness of the desert and its surrounding mountains.

Some of our home designs feature a pool in the front yard, right as you step through the entry gate. It’s an unmistakably Palm Springs feature that captures the fun and welcoming spirit of the city while creating an inviting space for social gatherings. At WPG, lifestyle is always at the forefront of every home design, which is why these homes were made specifically for hosting friends and neighbors. Entertaining is truly where Solace shines.
As you enter the homes, you’ll notice an openness that was designed to draw in your guests to admire the space and provide ample room for hosting, while also providing spaces for smaller gatherings. One evening you could find yourself floating toward the kitchen island with a couple friends, the next you could be having all your neighbors over in your expansive great room for an extravagant cocktail hour.

On top of that, you will fall in love with how well the lines between indoor and outdoor are blurred here at Solace. Each room boasts an abundance of windows that frame the desert landscape, and large sliding glass doors provide a seamless connection to the pool and front yard.
WPG designed Solace to cater to how people live today, so we made sure to prioritize flexible spaces like lofts and detached casitas. These spaces allow the home to cater and evolve with your lifestyle, whether that’s using them for a yoga studio, a game room, or to accommodate your guests who come to enjoy Palm Springs’ social scene.

Last, but certainly not least, Solace lives up to its name with the most exquisite private spaces. The expansive primary suites are a true sanctuary, where you can unwind at the end of the day. Here you’ll find an oversized shower, massive walk-in closet, floating cabinetry, and an abundance of natural light.
